ReplyDeleteThis video is about a freestanding pediatric palliative care facility that helps families enjoy the last few days, months, and years with their extremely ill children. This facility gives families an apartment with medical care instead of being in the stressful hospital. With special events, therapy animals, and exciting things to do, the staff help parents and their children feel happy and have no stress. This amazing place was made to let parents enjoy the time they have with their children. I chose this vide because the introduction was very interesting and I wanted to know more. My classmates should watch this video because it was very interesting to find out the help that people give others.

ReplyDeleteThis video is about young inventors finding a way to use Styrofoam. They wanted to use the activated carbon in Styrofoam for water filters. They failed many times but still kept trying. In the end, they finally succeeded and were recognized by organizations like FIRST. I think my peers should watch this video because it is so inspiring. It shows that even at this age, we can still make a huge impact.
I agree with your opinion of this video: I think that it is extremely inspiring and shows that with enough patience and inspiration, we can do anything with only what we're given, wherever we are. This video shows us how we can't give up even when we fail, and how anything is possible.

ReplyDeleteThis video, done by Harry Cliff, starts out talking about whether or not the laws of physics allow us to learn any more about nature and the universe at large.
It discussed Einstein's theory of relativity, and the Big Bang Theory, and that the expansion of the universe is actually getting faster and faster, propelled by dark energy (the energy of space). He also talks about string theory, and how it is the best proponent for a Universal Theory of physics, and that the possibility of a multiverse actually explains the discrepancies in the values for the Higgs-Boson particle, and dark energy. Basically, the video ends with him explaining that we may not be able to answer the questions asked because the laws of physics simply will not allow it.
Sorry, I accidentally deleted a bit of this.
DeleteI chose to watch this because I want to go into physics as a career, and I absolutely love learning about things that relate to it. I think everyone should watch this because it discusses the universe we live in using rather simple terms to discuss these huge topics.

ReplyDeleteThis ted talk is about identifying credible statistics and facts presented to you in the media. I think this is very important because too many people become misinformed based on false statistics. The media can lead people to believe many things that aren't true, such as the infamous tree octopus. There are several conglomerations trying to mislead you so you become intrigued and keep reading their articles, so I think it's very important for people to watch this ted talk. I would recommend this Ted Talk to everyone, because in this day and age, it's extremely important to know how to identify credible information.
I agree with Alaina. This video was very important because many people trust whatever they see online. This video was informative and it helped me learn a few new things.Credible information is necessary when writing papers or even spreading news. PLEASE WATCH THIS TED TALK
